Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing will reportedly miss the remainder of the season after suffering a leg injury during Sundays game against Kansas City. According to the Houston Chronicle, Cushing has a fractured fibula and a torn lateral collateral ligament in his left knee. He is expected to undergo further tests on Monday and will likely need surgery. Cushing was hurt in the third quarter of the 17-16 loss when Kansas Citys Jamaal Charles went low to throw a block on the linebacker. "Its not how many times you fall down but how many times you get back up," Cushing wrote on his Twitter account after the game. "Life is tough but Im the toughest SOB its ever seen. Ill be back." Cushing, who was leading the team with 48 tackles this season, played just five games last year because of a torn ACL in the same knee.
